It's Memorial Day today. Who are you remembering? My 11 year old daughter and I got into the topic of "The War on Terror," Sadam, Osama, and the Military.I realized that my son and daughter have no memory of a day of peace. The generation we are bringing up has lived through the War on Terror. How is this going to affect them in the future?
Is this War worth it? Is the loss of life worth it? Fathers, sons, brothers, sisters, mothers... Who knows what the impact of their loss is? I'm not religious, it's not God's plan. It's just a devastating loss to those that loved them. I don't think we went in with enough of a plan. I don't think the American version of democracy is right for every country. What right do we have to say it is? I do believe the Taliban needs to be knocked down, but on days like today, the loss of life just doesn't seem to be worth it.
